Amazon’s AWS Plans $1.8 Billion Investment in Brazil by 2034

Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing division of Amazon (AMZN.O), announced on Wednesday it will invest 10.1 billion reais ($1.8 billion) in Brazil through 2034 to enhance its data center operations in the country.

The investment will focus on expanding, building, connecting, operating, and maintaining data centers in Brazil, the company stated.

Previously, AWS had invested 19.2 billion reais in Brazil from 2011 to 2023, according to the announcement.
