Google Search is now integrating links to archived websites through the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine

This update offers a helpful alternative for those who miss the cached page feature that was previously available in search results.

The Internet Archive contains billions of archived web pages, as highlighted in their recent blog post. The Wayback Machine allows users to view older versions of websites, sometimes dating back decades, making it a valuable resource for tracking changes over time.

Danny Sullivan from Google Search mentioned in February that he aimed to include Internet Archive links in search results following the removal of cached results. With this new update, it appears that goal has been achieved. Google has also confirmed this change to 9to5Google.

To access these archived links, click the three dots next to a search result and select “More about this page” to find a link to the Wayback Machine. However, I tested this feature and didn’t find any links yet; it’s possible that the rollout might be gradual and not fully available to everyone immediately.
