Microsoft to detail OneDrive Copilot, mobile app updates, and more during October event

Microsoft will host its second annual OneDrive digital event on October 8th, focusing on the latest advancements in AI within Microsoft 365 and OneDrive. Following last year’s event, which unveiled a major design overhaul, AI Copilot integration, and other updates, this year’s gathering promises to reveal new developments for Copilot in OneDrive, enhancements to the OneDrive mobile app, and an upgraded photos experience.

The event, which will take place on Microsoft Teams, will also provide attendees with the opportunity to ask questions directly to the OneDrive product team about the cloud storage service. This follows a dedicated Copilot event on September 16th, where Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Jared Spataro, VP of AI at Work, will discuss future plans for Microsoft’s AI assistant.

Additionally, Microsoft is anticipated to announce a subtle rebranding of its business-oriented Copilot assistant and introduce new features designed to attract more businesses to its $30-per-user-per-month Microsoft 365 service.
