Sony’s PlayStation PC push now includes a controller customization app

Sony is expanding its PlayStation PC tools with a new app that allows you to customize your DualSense Edge controller directly from your Windows PC. The new Accessories app lets users adjust button mappings, tweak stick sensitivity, modify trigger deadzones, and more, enhancing controller personalization beyond what was previously available.

This app replaces the older “Firmware Updater for DualSense Wireless Controller,” which was introduced in 2022. While the new app retains the ability to update firmware for both the DualSense Edge and the standard DualSense controllers, it adds extensive customization options similar to what you would find on a PS5.

In addition to this new app, Sony has been actively porting popular PlayStation games to PC. Recent releases include Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and The Last of Us Part I. The company also introduced a PC adapter for the PSVR 2 headset, though it still faces some technical issues.

With the launch of the Accessories app, Sony is clearly committed to enhancing the PC experience for PlayStation users. Earlier this year, Sony also debuted a PlayStation PC overlay that allows you to access your friends list, view Trophies, and manage your PlayStation account, although it is currently available only with Ghost of Tsushima.
