Microsoft has unveiled a new generation of Surface devices, introducing updated versions of the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon X2 processors. The new models are designed to deliver stronger AI performance, improved efficiency, and longer battery life while supporting the growing range of on-device AI features available through the Copilot+ PC platform.
The latest Surface Pro 13-inch brings notable hardware improvements across multiple areas. Buyers can choose between a 10-core Snapdragon X2 Plus processor or a more powerful 12-core Snapdragon X2 Elite chip. Both options are paired with Qualcomm’s advanced neural processing unit capable of handling demanding AI workloads directly on the device.

Display options vary depending on the configuration. Models equipped with the Snapdragon X2 Plus feature a 13-inch LCD touchscreen, while higher-end Snapdragon X2 Elite versions receive an OLED panel. Regardless of display technology, all variants support HDR content and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Memory configurations reach up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, while storage can be configured with a removable PCIe Gen 4 SSD offering up to 1TB of capacity. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 support and dual USB-C USB4 ports for high-speed data transfers and accessory compatibility. Microsoft claims the tablet can deliver up to 15.5 hours of local video playback on a single charge.
In Canada, pricing for the Surface Pro begins at CAD $2,149.99 for the entry-level model featuring 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage. OLED-equipped versions start at CAD $2,499.99, while fully configured models can reach CAD $3,699.99. As with previous generations, the keyboard accessory is sold separately.

Alongside the new tablet, Microsoft has also refreshed the Surface Laptop lineup. The device is available in 13.8-inch and 15-inch versions, both featuring HDR touchscreens with 120Hz refresh rates and the same Snapdragon X2 Plus and X2 Elite processor options found in the Surface Pro.
The 13.8-inch model offers up to 20 hours of local video playback and includes two USB-C USB4 ports, a USB-A connection, and a 39W charger. Customers can choose from several color options, including Platinum, Black, Dune, and Jade.
The larger 15-inch version focuses on productivity and expanded connectivity. It delivers up to 19 hours of local video playback, adds support for MicroSDXC Express cards, and ships with a more powerful 65W charger. Available finishes include Platinum and Black.
Canadian pricing for the Surface Laptop starts at CAD $2,299.99 for the 13.8-inch model. A fully equipped configuration featuring the Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD reaches CAD $3,599.99. The 15-inch model begins at CAD $2,399.99, while top-tier specifications push the price to CAD $3,899.99.
With the addition of Qualcomm’s latest processors and dedicated AI hardware, Microsoft’s newest Surface devices are positioned to offer stronger performance, enhanced battery efficiency, and expanded support for next-generation AI-powered experiences.
